Elbow & Knee Pain
How these joints are alike: The elbow and knee are hinge-style joints that excel at bending/straightening. When the surrounding muscles or tracking are off, both can become irritated with repetitive tasks (typing, gripping, running, stairs).
Common symptoms we help: Golfer’s/tennis elbow, patellar tracking irritation, soreness with gripping or squatting, stiffness after sitting, and post-activity ache.
Our approach
- Chiropractic Adjustments: Corrective adjustments to the elbow/knee and the related chain (wrist/shoulder for elbow; ankle/hip/pelvis for knee) to normalize load through the hinge.
- Physiotherapy: Gentle mobilizations, soft-tissue instrument work, tibiofemoral/patellofemoral glides, and forearm extensor/flexor retraining.
- Targeted Exercises: Eccentric loading (e.g., wrist extensor eccentrics, Spanish squats), hip/ankle prep for knee mechanics, and grip/forearm endurance drills.
- Laser Therapy: Applied to tendons and irritated soft tissues to support recovery between visits.
- Muscle Work: Focused release for forearm flexors/extensors, quad/IT band interfaces, calf/hamstrings to reduce tension on the joint.
Why it works: Better alignment and tracking reduce friction; strength in the right ranges keeps symptoms from returning.
What to expect: A clear progression from pain-relief strategies to strength and return-to-activity.
