Shoulder & Hip Pain
How these joints are alike: The shoulder and hip are both ball-and-socket joints built for big ranges of motion and load transfer. When alignment is off on one side, the opposite side often compensates—so a stiff hip can drive shoulder overload, and vice versa.
Common symptoms we help: Achy or sharp pain with reaching/squatting, catching or pinching, limited motion, post-workout soreness that lingers, and sleep discomfort on the affected side.
Our approach
- Chiropractic Adjustments: Gentle, precise adjustments to restore joint alignment of the shoulder/hip and the related spine and pelvis. This reduces joint stress and improves motion.
- Physiotherapy (no drugs/no surgery): Joint mobilization, light traction, proprioceptive drills, and instrument-assisted techniques to calm irritation and re-educate movement.
- Targeted Exercises: Scapular/hip stability work (e.g., banded external rotation, clamshells, bridges, step-downs) to reinforce alignment and control during daily tasks and sport.
- Laser Therapy: Low-level laser to support local circulation and tissue recovery in irritated tendons, bursae, and capsular structures.
- Muscle Work: Myofascial release and trigger-point work for rotator cuff, lat/pec, TFL, gluteal complex, and deep hip rotators to restore balanced tension.
Why it works: Restore alignment → improve mechanics → reinforce with stability. That combination lets the joint move freely without overloading tissues.
What to expect: A focused exam, movement tests, and a simple plan you can follow at home; most plans combine brief in-office care with short, daily exercises.
