Physiotherapy & Rehab (Movement-Focused)

physiotherapy back pain facts to know

Low-tech, high-touch. Our rehab is built around intentional movement, body awareness, and simple tools you can also use at home. Every plan can be configured to pair targeted exercises, neuromuscular re-education, low-level laser, and light muscle work to restore function—and then we teach you how to keep it.

Who this helps

  • Persistent or recurring pain after an acute flare
  • Post-sprain/strain stiffness or weakness
  • Balance, coordination, or proprioception deficits
  • Desk-posture tension, mobility loss, or de-conditioning
  • Athletes and “weekend warriors” returning to activity

Goals of care

  1. Calm it down: reduce pain/inflammation
  2. Build it back: restore mobility, stability, and control
  3. Own it: progress to durable strength and confident movement

What we do (in-office)

  • Targeted Exercises – joint-specific mobility, stability, and patterning work
  • Neuromuscular Re-education – balance disc drills, reflexive core/glute activation, gait and posture retraining
  • Low-Level Laser Therapy – to support tissue healing and calm irritated tissues
  • Light Muscle Work – brief soft-tissue techniques to improve glide and reduce guarding

Our tools (simple on purpose): yoga balls, physio neck balls, stretching bands, balance discs, and other easy-to-learn activities.

What to expect

  • Visit 1–2: assess movement, identify weak links, start pain-modulating laser + simple drills
  • Visit 3–6: progress patterns (mobility → stability → control), add balance work and load as tolerated
  • After week 3–4 (typical): transition to higher-repetition home sets; in-office visits focus on coaching and progressions

Sessions are active. Expect to move, learn, and practice.

Home care & progression

You’ll leave with a clear plan: video or written cues for stretches, activation drills, and short daily “mini-sets.” We keep it realistic—most protocols take 8–12 minutes, 1–2×/day—and we update them as you improve.

Why low-tech works

  • Easier to repeat at home, which drives real outcomes
  • Builds awareness + control, not just passive relief
  • Scales from rehab to performance and longevity

Common focus areas

  • Neck/shoulder mobility with scapular control
  • Hip stability and glute activation for back or knee unload
  • Ankle/foot proprioception for balance and stride efficiency
  • Core bracing that transfers to lifting, walking, and sport

Safety & pacing

We progress based on form first, then load. Soreness is okay; sharp pain is not. We’ll modify reps, ranges, or tools so you improve without flare-ups.

How this integrates with chiropractic

Adjustments restore joint motion; physiotherapy locks it in by retraining the pattern. Together, they shorten recovery time and reduce recurrence.

Quick FAQ

Is this “physiotherapy”?
We provide physiotherapy and rehabilitative exercise within chiropractic scope—exercise- and movement-oriented, not medication or prescription-based.

Do I need equipment at home?
Just the basics. We’ll recommend a low-cost band and (optionally) a balance disc or yoga ball.

How many visits?
Varies by case. Many patients see meaningful change within 3–6 visits when they’re consistent with homework.

Ready to move better?
