How these areas are alike: The jaw (TMJ) and the upper neck share muscles, fascia, and nerves that influence head comfort. When alignment or muscle tone is off in one, the other often compensates—leading to localized head pain that isn’t a traditional “headache,” jaw soreness, ear/face pressure, or chewing discomfort.

3. Targeted Exercises: Controlled opening/closing with tongue-to-palate cue (“N-spot”), lateral deviation control, deep-neck flexor activation, scapular setting, and simple home mobility for the upper neck.
4. Laser Therapy: Low-level laser applied to overworked jaw/upper-neck soft tissues to support circulation and tissue calm.
5. Muscle Work: Myofascial release for masseter, temporalis, pterygoids (external), SCM, suboccipitals, and upper-traps to balance tension and improve jaw tracking.
